Get Fit at Home! Here’s how to get started.....

Its’ never too late to start getting fit, especially in the comfort of your own home! If you’ve reached a stage in life when you feel you are no longer as fit or look as good as you used to you’ve probably reached the mental point and thought, “I really need to do something about this.”
If you’ve reached this point you need to start to think about how to best build some home fitness exercise into your life alongside a healthier eating plan. You only need to find 20-30 minutes  at home each day and commit to a regular exercise plan to see quick results.
Fitness at home makes it harder to come up with lame excuses not to workout, no need to feel self conscious, your 30 mins can be got out of the way by getting up 30 mins earlier each morning or fitting it in at the end of the day, you’ll feel more relaxed and likely to sleep better as a result.
Make a month ahead fitness plan in your diary and block out a series of 30 min sessions 3 to 4 times a week to see results – target yourself and take some body measurements and weigh yourself once a week to track your progress.
Home fitness goals – what do you want to achieve?
Think carefully about why you want to exercise - is it to lose weight, look better, get fit, rehabilitate? By setting two or three goals with timelines you can help motivate yourself to stick to a plan and see it through.
Writing down your goals will help you remember why you are exercising at home. Stick them on your wall in front of your treadmill, cross trainer, exercise bike or free weights in the garage, back bedroom or conservatory as a regular reminder.
What is fitness success to you?
Fitness goals should be meaningful and personal to you. It may be you want to run and play with your grandchildren into your seventies, drop a dress size for your wedding, go on a walking or ski holiday, climb the stairs unaided....whatever your reason try to have realistic short, medium and long term goal plan. The short-term goal will help motivate you with your new home fitness plan from the start, whereas a long term goal will keep you going over time.
Once you establish a home fitness routine and begin to look and feel better your success will increase the more your fitness plan becomes part of your everyday life. Exercise at home should be enjoyable, hassle free and habitual like walking the dog. Remember, it’s a healthier lifestyle that helps keep you looking and feeling young and well.
